Butterfly--long view
I planted several buddleia or "butterfly bush" plants this year. So far they haven't done that well, but I did see my first butterfly today.

The butterfly was a bit nervous as I approached it.

Here's a closer view. I'm informed that it is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus Linnaeus).

This is as close as I could get to the butterfly before it flew away.
